I have a client concerned about some browning in his Privet hedges last year.

He says he watered them but did start to brown ....What would cause this? Any help would be appreciated...

if he watered during the hottest part of the day he could have burned them up they should come back just fine .aybe trim them lightly give em a shot of 10 10 10 an they will be fine . privets are tough so dont worry!

If he is lucky he killed them. But, unfortunately its almost impossible to kill that junk. I bet they will spring back to life.

I hate privet hedge. If he is luck, it will die, but not likely. I see this stuff just sprig up anywhere, seems like. I have dug out roots and trunks of privet, and it just grows back from the root runners. I guess some peole like privet hedges, but to me its the "weed" of the shrubs.
