I purchased a used Bunton WB Hydro three years ago. Has been a good unit until this fall. I have to adjust the strirring about every other day. Does anyone have any advise before I take the plung on new hydro pumps. I hate to trade the unit but looks like it is option...

Overhaul the hydro pumps put new seals in. Have you checked for leaks ? Its alot cheaper to fix the problem than new ones unless metal parts have started to fall apart.
  4. Hydro pump seals just don't go bad, and cause hydro problems.

Rebuilding them many times costs more than a replacment pump.

Hydro pumps are pretty simple, but they can be to complicated for the avg Joe to rebuild. There is a lot more to it than just pop a seal in there.

You can try using a bit heavier grade oil, which will minimize the blowby problem you are having. FWIW, if they are good pumps, call the maker, and they can put you in touch with rebuilder shops. They should cost you much less than bringing it to your dealer. These shops do these pumps day in and day out, not like the average mower shop.
