got a 92 Gmc sierra 3500. first off. it sounds like u joints need replaced? i have a slip at take off? next, steering squeels- power stering fluid is full?
Finally - when blinker is on .. the batt. guage moves with blinker (draw)? what are your prognosis of this? thanks

Is it a clunk or a shimmy?

A clunk would suggest that your slip yoke or end yokes on the driveshaft have play.

A shimmy would indicate a u-joint, or something causing the driveshaft to be out of balance.

How far does the battery gauge indicator move when your signals are on? If its not much, its nothing to worry about.

As far as the power steering squeal, your belt is loose on it or it has some air in it.

My 92 chevy batt gage moves with the blinker, the mechanic said its nothing to worry about. Its been doing it for almost a year with no affects, dont worry about it.

On the ps. Try spraying dome belt dressing on it, this may help, if not it may need a belt. Unless the lines have been off, or there is a leak there should not be any air in the system.

No clue on the clunking, let me think on it............

Does the noise only occor on take off, or does it do it all the time?
