    Hello board,
This may be a strange question but how do all you determine if you're making a profit?
Also, what profit level/percent/margin (take your pick) is acceptable in our industry?
In my area, I typically charge around $50 to mow/trim/blow which is about 30-60 minutes at the most. I figure liberally about $2-$3 fuel at the most which works out to around 22-47 dollars an hour. If I account for travel time it would drop to around 20-45/hr. I make sure most of my accounts are concentrated in a small town of about 5k people. Is this similar to what you all earn or charge for a similar service? I'm invoicing about 2k/month as the sole operator of my company. I still do this part-time.

    Thanks all!

i believe you also need to figure in expenses for the equipment you are using. maintaince and the actual equipment, insurance, taxes, etc
