Ok so I will buy one of these enviro. friendly propane mowers and drive my big 6.0 V8 truck that gets 10 mpg to the jobsite. Sounds fantastic.

If its cheaper to run... i'll think about it.

If its more to run, I'll take my 27 HP Gas Z.

Just saw the #'s on the second page. Its a $1,400 premium. Lets say a Gas ZTR burns 1.3 Gallons per hour at $2.80 per gallon. It will take 650 hours to meet up with the $1,400 premium. And thats considering the propane is free.. I'm not sure how much that will cost...

    Burn!!!

I saw these at dixie chopper (an ad for them) Seems like a good idea.
Cost wise it would be cheaper to run propane then gas... if the cost of the mowers don't put them out of range. I'm not sure what they run.

My dad had an old 78 ford f-250 ext cab with a huge propane tank in the back, years ago you could fill it for $200, that would last almost all year for his in town commute. Compare that to gas... well you just can't
He was still able to use the 2 gas tanks and switch anytime he wanted.

Great so lets all switch to propane right then the gas companies will just jack up the f#$@kin rate for LP gas and screw us over on something else, ya?

Ferris has them at our local lawn show back in March....even had some of the big units with tanks the size of bombs on them.
