Propane?

    Just got to use a propane ice auger, and man I am impressed with how it works. So my question is does anyone use propane string trimmers and what do you think about them? Not sure who makes them but I remember seeing them.

    A company called Lehr is making them but, they are still homeowner grade and didnt have the power for commercial use. Not quite there yet. They are heavy too.:usflag:

    Same with the auger, its got some weight to it. And its a limited use item compared to our maintenance equipment.

    There are some companies that can convert them, but keep in mind they have to be a true 4 stroke engine. They are heavier and just hard to beat a good 'ol 2 stroke engine. There are some hybrid units out there, but they still need the lubrication from the 2 stroke mix.
