Anyone familiar with this plant and how to divide or propagate it? I have a large plant it covers about 8' X 8' area and is beautiful. I would love to take some cutting or whatever I need to do to get some going at other ponds.

I have it at one clients growing out of the edge of the waterfall. I have taken cuttings several times with no success. Last year I took a cutting and planted it in a bog situation and it is doing great. I just don't have many bogs and I would really like to duplicate the waterfall situation.

  3. Cuttings don't work but look awesome in flower arrangements. Just divide the clump. Use a shovel to get a good piece and plant in moist location or transfer to a pot. Heliconia's are easy like bird of Paradise.
