pruning?

    When pruning should I spray where I cut the limb with that pruning spray?

    Wound dressings do not prevent wood decay behind a pruning cut. They provide no benefit to the tree. Some research indicates that wound dressings promote decay in certain situations. If pruning paints or wound dressings are to be used for cosmetic purposes, apply only a very thin coat. Only proper pruning practices prevent wood rot. source:university of fl

    Promo - those are the EXACT teachings of renowned forest researcher Dr. Alex Shigo of the US Forest Service. I had the priveledge of attending many of his seminars in the late 70's and early 80's. That man forgot more about trees than most of us will ever know.
