The little B&S engine on my Toro Rider (Model: 195707 Type: 0121 01) is leaking considerable amounts of oil, see pictures. Engine is around 10 years old, has tons of hours, but it is not burning oil, even if I start it up after a week or two, it starts up clean without blue smoke.

The engine is somewhat clean, all oil seems to accumulates around the engine mounting base. Could this just be the oil seal on the PTO side or is this something more serious? If it is the PTO oil seal, can I change it like on a car (drive two screws in and pull oil seal out without any disassembly) or is this is more complicated process on a small engine?

Thanks for the help!! --- John

    John,

You can use the screw method or I just pop them out with a screwdriver, That's where it looks like it's coming from. Just drain the oil/fuel and remove the battery then flip it up on the rear bumper, Remove the pulleys and go at it.
