hey i wanted to know what you guys think of doing this............buying a dethatcher that you pull behind a riding lawn mower for like $100 is it worth it......i do dethatching by hand right now and it is really hard on the body......how good of a job does it do?

I have one that I pull behind the rider and it seems to do a good job. Just have to have the depth adjusted correctly and have enough weight on it so it doesn't bounce around. After I'm done I go over it with the bagger on the mower or I recently bought a large lawn sweeper that has a dethatcher attached that works pretty good also.

We have a powered dethatcher we redesigned to be either walk behind or towed by our tractor depending on the job size.

Do you have pictures or drawings of this setup?
