Do you guys recommend pull behind spray rigs to start out. Are there any downsides to them?

If you are doing a few large properties they might work, but in most cases they would be impractical IMO

Lesco offers a 25 gal electric (12 volt) sprayer the comes with spray wand and 25 feet hose. (self coiling).

Maybe you could chain it to your lawn tractor or lawn mower and spray with a couple wide angle nozzles out the back. Use the hose and spray gun for tight areas.
