Last years TimeMaster shipped with distinctly lower lift blades than what is shipping on both the Exmark
/Toro commercial. I've seen both units... same higher lift blades.

Not sure about the 2013 TimeMaster as of yet.

Unless your Exmark Commercial shipped with the lower lifts....you already have the higher lifts.....I would hope.

The question now is....are in fact the lower lift MULCH specific blades for the Exmark/Toro TurfMaster in fact...older lower lift TimeMaster blades.

Online source...? Don't know I paid full retail for my TurfMaster blades from the Exmark dealer. Roughly $20+ per blade.

Yea I'm pretty sure these ones on it are good high lift ones just looking for spares, had to drive 2 1/2 hours to my nearest exmark dealer and they didn't have any stocked yet when i bought the mower, but I guess I'll just have them order some and ship them to me....

So is this really better than a B series Walker with a 36" deck...?

They are basically the same other than the controls and the deck adjustment.

And the engine protector bar in front of engine is more functional on the Exmark.

ok...time for another update on my exmark 30. used it a bit more last week, and here are a few bits of info:

first off, I still havent heard from the dealer about the mulch kit i ordered for this mower. I will try and get ahold of him tomorrow and see what the deal is.

Secondly, I was asked to scalp a few lawns with the mower and here are a few notes for those that need to cut low: with the exmark at the lowest setting, the lawn/yard needs to be in very good shape, and fairly level. Uneven ground will cause it to hang up, and "catch" on occasion. For those instances, the second to lowest setting is best, BUT this mower will not cut as low as my honda HRC.

Third; after a week of mowing in very dry dusty conditions, it was time to clean out the air filters on both mowers (the exmark 30 and my honda HRC). Both machines were easy to access. the exmark and the honda both have the foam pre filters, and then the regular filter under that. The honda has a much higher quality filter and foam filter when compared to the exmark, but both are functional, and easy to access.

And for those comparing these to walk behinds, im sure there is no real comparison. where this mower excels is getting through gates where the walk behinds wont go. I have numerous yards where this is the case, and this mower is working out well so far for that application.

Fourth; would be two small complaints, but no show stoppers. the first complaint is that the gas tank mounting isnt the best on the exmark. It causes a rattle at times. And the other small complaint is the front wheel adjustment. I wish they would have made the release bars a bit more ergonomic. Maybe a larger more comfortable handle or tbar to pull upon when releasing the wheels.

thats about it for now...hope this helps. sorry i didnt get any pictures, but just havent made the time for it yet.
