Thanks Jim. This is all giving me tired head. Think I'll mosey away...........
Franklin Electric bought Jacuzzi, so that complicates the searching
I found a few inexpensive replacement shaft seals for Jacuzzi, less than $20 ~ I may have a master catalog for Jacuzzi packed away somewhere.
Found a place that had parts for a DB3 but they were all listed as obsolete.
i have an o-ring and seal kit that fills most obsolete voids
You can check your Grainger catalog for a number 200 shaft seal. There is an industry standard for these things, and all the links for a Jacuzzi seal say it's a 200
But if it was recommended to me to replace all the parts when I disassemble? seems a shame to go through all this trouble and not new everything up.
Or buy a fresh one with warranty.
i guess I can do that and use the existing motor?
For a boat anchor.
Pump and parts may be discontinued. At 11 years of age, the innards should be fine. Buy a shaft seal and play around with the pump some Sunday afternoon when the football game stinks.
