I need to know what type of Jet pump would be good for an application for a 30 ft well with a 2" intake. The ML is about 700ft total 1 1/2 PVC. I would like to run 30GPM @ 70-80 PSI.

    Any thoughts on this?

Pump log information would be handy, otherwise, it's all moot.

This thread has no reference to beer, dogs, skiing the Rockies, DickHunter parties, or hot girls. Really not interested. ;)

    Ditto what he said.

Though I may add I have had zippo problems with Goulds pumps.

30 gpm is going to exceed jet pump performance specs, with the exception of the Sta-Rite 2HP multistage pump (big bucks)

    70-80 psi @ 30 gpm?
What application is this going to be used for?
I'd use a multistage centrifugal pump if I needed that much pressure.
How 'bout we skip this and go have a beer, with our dogs, maybe ski in the Rockies, invite DickHunter to party, and maybe even irrigate some hot girls.

These are the specs I was asked to post by an employee.

This is a commercial application. 10 zones, mostly 5004's about 9 per zone, except one huge zone installed by a hack company in the area which WAS trying to push close to 40 GPM on Nelson heads and 1" laterals.

I'd call for a pump-down test and then a re-design. That has trouble/liability written all over it. Run fast away if no one cooperates.

I was on a job where the rep wouldn't listen to me a few weeks ago..

instead he got a buddy plumber to say "everythings is in good shape"

    we start doing obstriction finding...

    cant fix the issure..

Old company comes in, guy knew pumps well..wired both pumps on the same switch 1 tank and the system sings..

THAT REP tanked all our time and his money to try and fix a non existing problem and made me look like an A$$HOLE.

From now on I'm giving my opinion on jobs forcefully if need be..
