I'm looking for a good place to purchase a Landscaping Box Truck 16' - 18' in South Carolina, Georgia, or the Southeast. I would also value any input from those that have purchased one in the past. Pros/ cons of Box truck or Truck Trailer combo.
    Specs:
    - 16' - 18' box
    - Gas or Diesel?
    - Isuzu or Chevrolet
    - Dovetail ramp a plus
    Thanks!

I spent 9 months looking until I found mine, that was 2008 and its been worth the effort to find it.

Now is the time to start looking as more will come up for sale in the off season.

Sometimes Penske has some decient deals but youll have to get a dovetail put on it. Feel free to ask me any questions.

What exactly did you get? I don't mind getting a dovetail installed. Do you know how much they cost?

    I finally found a 3500 cutaway chevrolet with a 18' box.

In 2008 a company near Atlanta would install a dovetail for 1500$, thats 4 years ago so dont know if their still around. Also USA ramps had fold up ramps and I think they wer around 1200$, not including insulation.

Penske box trucks usually run from 9000$ to 12000$ for a nice one.

Theres alot of box trucks on "the cheap" if you dont mind something on the rough side.

Its worth the time and effort to search one out. I checked truck trader, everything local and ebay 3 times a week for 9 months. I had to drive 5 hours to get the truck I currently have.
