For all of those who get inspected. Where does the fire extinguisher need to be and does it need to be physically mounted to something?

    Thanks.

Ive logged a LOT of miles pulling trailers, bobcats, never even been looked at by DOT.

    Did you get nailed?

I got nailed on K-7 about a month ago. Close to $1000 in fine unless I get everything in order.

I have to go Thursday to court.

I have not gotten my medical card yet and the extinguisher either. Everything else is in order.

    Daym, that sucks!

Do you just have a normal truck/trailer setup?

Yeah, F-250 and single axle trailer rated at 2500 max load.

I talked to another DOT inspector and he thinks I just caught the guy on a bad day and he took his problems out on me.

Ahhhh, yeah, thats what I got!!!!!! Like you pose a problem compared to the end dumps running down the road, with no brakes, no tires, and every other violation you could think up!

    Dude was a D-bag

You dont have any old Red Max trimmers laying around do you?

My pull start wont coil back on mine, cant get one till tuesday/wednesday

    I dont sorry.

In fact I was in Reynolds yesterday picking some things up and looking at new trimmers.

I need to invest in a couple.

Your fire extinguisher does need to be mounted. Behind a seat, or somewhere accessible. I wouldn't put it anywhere it could get kicked around.

Hope you have a doc's appt scheduled for this week!

DOT dont mess with us but i have one mounted behind the drivers seat and one on the inside of the sidedoor of my inclosed trailer also their supposed to be marked with a sticker on the outside of commerical vehicles.
