Quoted the following today by local Dealer....
    04 (New not Demo) JD Quik-Track 647, 19hp/48" 7-Iron deck....$5200.00
    05 JD GS45 Walk behind...14hp/36" deck....$2699.00
My question is, are the prices quoted reasonable/comparable for these two pieces of equipment? For those that are not JD fans...with all due respect you need not respond...but for those that have been kicking the tires for new equipment...and have considered Deere equipment...please give feedback.

That price for that stander seems to be a pretty good deal. I know a 48" JD ztr would probibly be over $6000 so I would consider it a good deal. The walk behind I would say is about average or maybe a bit high. I would consider $2500 to be a good price for it. Hope that helps.

In my area the 647 would be a fair price, never priced a walk behind so cant comment on that model.

Thanks for the feedback guys...I do appreciate it.

By the way "green with envy"...how much did you give for the demo...and
also what is your opinion of the purchase. Any regrets...positives!
