Just wanted to get an idea of how many rolls or pallets of sod that a two man crew can lay in an hour.

Im trying to put an estamite together but have never had a large
install like this, 5000 sf of turf.

Thanks for any info and any suggestions are welcomed also

You could possibly bang out a pallet in about 45-min for one guy depending on if grading needs to be done at the time.

No grading needs to be done. The guy moved in the house 16 months ago and has done nothing to the yard. He called me and
said that he wants a top quality lawn and does not want to salvage what is there already. He knows it will cost him but he wants a instant result and he has the money to spend, especially when he is living in a $760,000 house.

I would be killing off the existing weeds and lawn with two applications of round up within 5 or 7 days of each other. Then spreading about 5 yards of nutri green top soil down to about a 1/2 layer then laying the sod down and setting up the sprinklers for him to just turn them on in the mornings.

    Later,

Last week me one one other guy laid about 4300 square feet of sod on about 4.5 hours. We were able to place the pallets colse to where it was being laid.

ya, when you have the sod delivered, have the guy move them to where they are needed. one guy can do a pallet in 15 minutes if he doesn't have to go far. one pallet will do approx 20x30 area.
