Just wondering if there are any legal issues involved in using a copy of a contract from another lco. I received a copy from a friend that lives in the complex.

Not that I know of, just tweak it to make it your own. Someone did that for gave me a sample of theirs and I've used it. Eventually I tweaked it enough that it is much different from the original. If you're unsure, ask an attorney friend if you have one.

Word to wise ....we cut and pasted a TruGreen contract and called it ours and two years later we got a calll from their lawyers. One of our good customers gave them a copy to bid from.

So what did these lawyers say? Did they just tell you to stop using it or something else?
