Is this (Eaton hydrostatic transmission) used often on ZTR's?
I'm trying to do apples to apples comparisons of commercial mowers. Nothing important, just trivial pursuit sort of payup

I don't know of any ztr it is used on currently. All ztr's on the market with a modular drive system that i'm aware of use Hydro gear pumps and most use parker-Ross wheel motors. There are others like Dixie Chopper and Hustler Super Z's that use White hydraulics wheel motors and Bad Boy uses hydro Gear motors. The Eaton systems are used mostly on hydro walk behinds.

They are integrated pumps/motors at the bottom of the page. I'm not sure if they are commercial grade or not. I don't really think they are. They are more like what is used on homeowner grade ztr's.

Its hard to find real time details on most of the makers, they dont want you to find out "X" makes the engine/tranny/decks etc. i.e. yanmar=JD, mitsubishi=MF etc.
Cool looking tranny, wish I had one to examine...without the part that requires a checkbook LOL
