Question for new client protocol.

    I'm work-shopping a checklist for clients. I service some upper class areas.
    My goal is to create, for those who want it, a way for them to select what they know they will want done.

    These services may include mowing, hedges, mulch, etc...

    my question to you guys is: Do you give them the price now in the spring, or do you call them when the time comes?... I already call / email folks in the spring and fall to sell mulch.

    Only thing I dislike about a large price divided by 12, is that service cancellations could cost me. Not that I have many cancellations, just something to avoid.

    Im worried about giving to much price information out early and people having shock. But at the same time, people will pay for something they want. And theyve likely paid for it all before.

    When I mail out my proposals it has a list of services I offer with prices next to everything and they get to go down the line and check off the services they want.

    interesting.

    in the past all i did was give a price for regular mowing. then i waited until they called to sell other services. sometimes i would sell intermittently.

    Im thinking if they SEE all the services (Mulch is high profit for me) I think theyll be more likely to go forward with them.

    Mulch is the only thing that I do not price on the proposal. However, I do have on the proposal as an option which people always ask about. It also helps that my proposal looks exactly like my estimate except with a bunch of terms and conditions.
