Question for people that bag grass

    I just purchased a toro z500 60" with bagger I was wondering what blades would do the best for bagging? high lifts, gators, or something else?

    When i bag the clippings on my lawns i use high lift blades, the same blades for side discharge.

    Do you think high lift mamba mulching blades would work good?

    I never had any luck using mulching blades when bagging. I bag a out 90% of my lawns and only use high lift blades.

    I have always been told highlifts.. but Ive always bagged with gators and never had a problem.. I actually think it packs it a little tighter and you end up bagging a little less.. Ive only bagged with a clamshell on w/b's though.. Imagine a ztrr would be the same.. Sometimes if the lawns arnt really big Ill doubble cut and bag the second time it makes it look really really nice and you end up collecting like 3/4 less the amount of grass

    Rightly so, I get about 2.5' of discharge with mulches and about 6-8' with hi lifts.
