Question - Oil for Kawasaki 28HP on eXmark Lazer Z AS

    I think I've seen discussions on here about using 10W30 in this engine instead of the straight 30W that Kawasaki is suggesting we use. It's fine to run 10W30 in these engines, right? The exact engine model is FH770D KAI, as shown in the link below. I don't have the owner's manual for this

    Also, does anyone know the correct Wix oil filter for this engine? I found this one but Wix doesn't list the exact engine I have. The closest I can find to it is the 29HP so that might be the same filter....not sure though. http://www.wixfilters.com/filterloo...pSubMake=477&TempModel=35573&TempEngine=52331

    Interesting. I guess this is why I need the manual. I'll just stick with the straight 30 since they're saying oil consumption 'may' increase if using 10w30 for example.

    I use 10w-30 Mobil 1 in all of my gas powered equipment and oil consumption has never been a problem.
