    How much would you be willing to pay for a skilled worker (experienced in mowing or hardscapes, irrigation, etc.) only on the days you needed them.

    For example:

    So you are overloaded with mulch in the spring, install job here and there, fall clean-ups. Rarely if ever is a company in the Green Industry a consistent provider of hours for all their employees. Some companies get into a crunch for labor but can't justify another full-time worker. A lot of companies could bid more work if they knew they had the capacity to bring on extra experienced workers when needed. Other companies could cut back that extra employee whom they just really need when they are overloaded with work.
