    Ive got a 9000.
I take it to the firehall and we have a blade sharpening party about once a month.

Is it or will it hurt the 9000 to run for long periods of time.. I mean... Im sharpening a blade, then im checking the balance with the 1000 while the machine is still running.. This goes on for well over an hour.

Is this bad, or does this matter? machine built for this type of work?

Just curious... the mag is a very nice investment.. Just want to protect it.

    Hello Scott,

Don't worry, the MAG-9000 is built for commerical use, that is no problem for it at all. ALL MAG-9000 series units have a thermal cut-out switch in the motor, if you would overload or get near damaging the MAG-9000, it would just shut itself off, and now allow you to damage the motor.

So keep sharpening blades as you have been. Its built for that kind of work and more.

    Thank you,
