Quoting one of my first jobs tomorow. I belive its going to be a one time service. Some light pruning and then a mowing. How do you guys handle this and not get screwed? Do you ask for payment before the job is started or on completion of the job (that day?) a little confused here. Don't want to sound unprofessional or unreasonable but I also don't want to be chasing some one down for billing.

I have never asked for payment in advance, I certainly wouldn't pay it, not for services. try and make sure they are home when you do the job. I have left many bills with self addressed envelopes but I want to get away from that. Check in hand with gst , btw what is gst now?, at end of job. (or cash)
