trying to figure out how to remove the ROPS i think i need to take off the wheels and it looks like 8 bolts i think. I really dont want to take it to the dealer, and was wondering what you guys thought?

You are gonna have to take the wheels off. I got a lazer z in december and i had the rops off in about 10 minutes once wheels were off. It's only 8 bolts.

Drive under a low strong branch at full throttle , and dont forget to duck . Actually you chould leave it on , it could save your life . if someone else is running the machine and they get injured and you remove the rops you are in the world of lawsuits.

and i wont go near retention ponds and my helper only does the trimming. So i figure with all the low branched oaks down here might as well pull the rops off completely.

In that case I would go ahead.
But don't expect your dealer to do it for you.
This is something you will have to do for yourself.

But what's wrong with just letting them down? They are foldable right?

It says how to put it on in the manual. Follow the steps backwards.

Just curious, why take them off?

Never mind I see why now.

eight bolts ,its best to have a helper its damn heavy ,mine came off on the second day ,whats the point of having a good trim side on the deck if the rops are always in the way ,i like you don't get close to retention ponds
