Quickbooks help

    I do the books for my husband's fertilization company. What is the best way to enter fert.-- as an item (what type) or as an expense?? I like to enter each type of fert. separately. I have it entered as an expense but it doesnt keep track of the number of bags/pallets I bought, just how much I have spent. I also have each round set up as a service item that will show up on the invoice with a description but not in the customer's acct receivable register? What should I do? Thanks
