What version of Quickbooks should I get. I am just starting at, mainly mowing some landscaping. Thanks.

I use version 2002 and it works good. You can e-mail invoices to your customers.

    Hi Aperfectlawn,

If you need it to get your invoices out, the basic version should work fine.

I just updated from QB 2001 to QB 2004 Pro. Research it online as to where you buy it. I paid $236 plus get a $100 rebate. Directly through QB it is $299, or $199 if you get just the upgrade. But I don't think the rebate applies for the upgrade. I also just bought QB Customer Manager which integrates with Microsoft Outlook for scheduling. Through QB it is $79.99. At CompUSA it is $29.99 through this Saturday.

Does the customer manager software work for rescheduling jobs like weekly mowing? Or fertilizer treatments?

the only word of advice with getting Basic is the fact that some other software might not be able to intergret with it. You must have Pro or higher.
