I am working up a bid for an 11 acre property. They would like me to sweep the lot. I have bid this service before however I am never in the ballpark. There is parking for approx 900 cars plus some road. During the course of this winter we spread 35 tons of 20% sand and salt.

This is a one time a year sweeping (blowers are not an option).

They also want a price for opening up and shutting down the irrigation system. They have about 4 acres of grass. I have not idea about zones or valves etc. There is 2 ft of snow on the ground.

Are there any good guesses, or standard prices (per sq ft or zone) I would appreciate it.

I'd bid the irrigation start-up by the hour. You'll need 2 guys with radios to make it efficient. Could be a 4 to 8 man-hour ordeal.
