Rabit Fever

    Local LCO that usually mows over dead rabbits, letting the mower pick them up had two employees catch rabbit fever. The owner of the company later caught the same disease after sharpening the blades on the mower involved.

    I was always told never to eat rabbits in summer because it caused "rabbit fever".I was told it had something to do with the rabbits liver.I honestly thought it was just BS to keep me from killin rabbits out of season as a youth,and gettin the ole man in trouble.Guess there is a rabbit fever after all.:)

    Wow , I mulched a dead Canadian Goose today, man did it stink .
    Picked it up last week threw it out of yard , guess the varmits drug it up to a new place

    rabbit fever..I have never heard of them before. Interesting because I always run over dead animals

    Not sure about geese doo but I have heard that you can catch a disease called coccidiosis from chicken doo and I think it might be all fowl that can carry this disease. You might want to ask around. I can see it now in the obituary, died from a dose of goose turd fever.
