Rain Bird HV Valves

    The information on our website is not complete or clear enough. Thank you for pointing this out. The Slip by Slip model of HV (and DV) are PVC. The rest of the HV models are glass-filled polypropylene, a stronger, lighter material than PVC or ABS. The HV passes all the same strength tests as the DV valve.

    I will make this difference in the Slip by Slip model material clearer on our website.

    The solenoid on Rain Bird valves is the same regardless of where it is sold. The specs on the Rain Bird Europe website are out of date. I will ask them to update it. They also present their information based on 50 Hz, so it may be a little different for that reason. The controllers in Europe operate on 220 volts, but the transformer will output 24 volts AC, still at 50 Hz.

    Customers in Europe do not use Slip by Slip valves. Other models are preferred much like in the US different models are the dominant choice in different regions.
