what would you charge to rake(cleanup) a yard? Charge by the job or the hour?

What do you mean, rake? I don't know about you, but my rake is a Stihl BR420 Magnum backpack blower. For me, a rake is always the last resort.

Charge by the hour. Add in an extra hour, because it usually takes a little longer than you expect. Add in any dump fees, as well as the time it takes to do the dumping.

I would just cahrge by the job, not the hour. Are you seriously going to rake the whole lawn by hand?

No, definitely going to use a blower.

    Thanks

If you don't factor in the time it will take you, how do you "charge by the job". I think you are confused. Here's how you do it: figure out how many hours it will take you to complete the job, multiply that number by a set hourly rate( $45-$60), add in materials and fees, and there is your price for the job.
