    I hear about the f150 having possibly a ford 5 cyl in line diesel in 2015. i think it will be a substantial upgrade for the line, and goes for all of the major brands really.

    Why ? It probable going to cost almost or not more then a 250/2500 series truck. With less weight capacity. The front ends would be heavy. I will stick to the 3/4 ton or better truck.

    Its probably more targeted to people who want to own a diesel than those who need one for work.

    Ideally they could put out a half ton that would get great gas mileage and still be pretty capable for light duty work, but I'm curious as to what those MPGs will be. If its not 25+, I don't see it justifying the price premium and I doubt it'll be that high
