I bought a new 7x14 enclosed trailer today. It does not have the ramp flap on the end of the ramp. Is there any reason why this flap is needed or is it just for ease of going up the ramp. My open trailer does not have a flap on it and im fine with that. Will not having the ramp cause damage to the door?

Mine is a full length hinge, with 3/4" plywood. The flap itself is probably 12"s. It helps alot, if it will stay on, I have re-screwed it on several times.

I always have to rescrew mine in also. Just makes it a little smoother transition, seems to help when you have wet tires.

Can Anyone Send Me A Picture Of The Install Of The Flap? I Seem To Be Having A Problem Puting Mine On.

It is a long piano hinge with a piece of plywood. Under the plywood there is a 2x2 that rests against the bottom of the ramp.
