Does anyone use heavy duty aluminum ramps for their box truck or stakebody in lieu of an expensive dovetail or folding ramp setup? We have a 12 ft stake dump and I'm thinking we can make due with a couple hundred bucks worth of ramps instead of over a thousand. By raising the hoist a little for loading/unloading the breakover angle can be zero degrees and could possibly use 8-9 ft ramps.

I use some aluminum ramps that I bought when I had a pickup truck, Ramps by Reese. They were $150 from Home Depot.

They're more of a band-aid until I can either sell my truck & buy one with a dovetail, get a dovetail put on my current truck or get better ramps.
They've already started to lose the little ladder steps in them.

They're rated at 750 each/1,500 lbs for the set and my LaZer Z is supposedly about 1200-1300 lbs.
