My Bobcat with a 22 hp Kohler in it keeps blowing fuses as soon as I turn on the key. I have checked the safety switches and they seem fine. It has been working fine then the first fuse blew, I replaced the fuses 4 times and finally it worked. I finished cutting the lawn shut the mower off and when I went to restart it the fuse was blown. I cleaned the relays off and tried the key, the fuse held. The next time I went to start it the fuse blew again. I'm thinking maybe the key switch has a short in it. Anyone have any ideas? Good thing I have back up equipment with all the rain we've been having.

This may or may not be of any help but here is how to 'read' a blown fuse. If the fuse is just broke in the middle with little damage it is an overload. If it is totaly burned up and black it is a dead short. A 20 amp fuse will take 10 to 15 minutes to fail at 30 amps.
