How is the bagger for the Raptor? Is not having a blower going to give me any issues? Anybody with experience with the bagger for the Sport ( I assume they are similar)

I am debating between the bagger and the mulching kit and not sure which way to go. I do not want to spend the money on the bagger and have it not pick up my clippings

Reports on the bagger have been positive. I'm a fan of mulching but I practice it when the grass slows down. I don't always have time to get out there. No matter what color of machine you have you can not over work the mulching concept. Try to cut and mulch too much grass you'll get clumps. In the fall I'll mulch up the leaves then lower the deck a notch and pick them up with a bagger. Far fewer stops. With a lot of oak leaves I don't like leaving them on the ground.

Something nice about the Raptor catcher is that it breaks down easily to allow the operator to side-discharge by leaving only the support bracket on the machine. I realize this is not mulching but, maybe the next best thing for the grass.

Does anyone have an ETA for the Raptor bagger? The dealer I bought my mower from is saying he should have one at anytime now while another local dealer is telling me they won't be available until this fall.

Please double check with with your dealer. The baggers have been in our warehouses for well over a month. Inventories go up and down but they are in all our warehouses now. Why you heard this fall I don't know.

Bought the mower the end of April and ordered the bagger at the same time. Dealer told me then that he wouldn't get the bagger until late May. Called him June 7th to check and was told it should be in soon. Sounds like I might need to call him back and rattle his cage a little. To be honest, now that I have mowed with it for over a month I really see no need for the bagger with the exception of picking up leaves. The cut quality is excellent and it leaves no visible clippings behind. So far I'm very impressed with the Raptor.

My dealer called me late Friday to tell me the bagger had arrived. I rode down Saturday morning and picked it up. Installation was super easy and only took about 25 minutes. The unit includes a high lift blade that is installed at the chute. Overall it picks up very well. Wet grass might give you problems but I will not mow if the grass is wet anyway.

Will someone provide how much the catchers for the 42" raptor cost? Is it comparable with other brands for their catchers?
