I am looking at purchasing a Rear Engine Riding Mower-I have 1/2 acre to cut and live at NJ shore area-so its a bid sandy.

I want to spend between $1,000-1,500.

    1. What is the minimum HP to get?
    2. Which offer an option to add snow plow on front?
    3. What brand-Murray, Stanley, John Deere, Yard Man, Sear Craftsman?

    Thanks for your help.

Before you buy a rear engine mower, check out the turning radius of any mower you get, some turn sharper that others wi the same size cutting deck.
