I need some blades for my '99 exmark 60'' cut.

Its got the original blades i think and its leaves two strips uncut when im mowing. So i think a new set of blades would fix that? I hope anyways.

Recommend me an awesome set of blades. Or should i just get them from the dealer?

Take the ones off that you have and sharpen them. Put the blades in a vice and use a hand-held grinder or use a bench grinder. Search "sharpening blades."

dunno if it makes a difference or not, but I was always told.... when I replace/sharpen blades and mount them back on the machine... they should be in different positions.
    ummmm.... like this.... -- | --
two side to side and the center front to back.

New blades might fix the problem. Blades are measured from sharpened corner to sharpened corner, as more and more material is removed from wear and sharpening the blades get less and less wide which can leave windrows aka the two small strips of grass between blades uncut. So I think that new blades could be the fix, if you have been running the same blades since 99 I would replace with OEM blades either search at mowpart.com or go to your local dealer.

Do your spindles have any play in them at all? If they do not, and the deck isn't warped, then try a new set (I use Exmark notched high lifts). A blade could also be bent or the leading edge of the blade could be worn or rounded (that's the part that does most of the cutting).

Check with your dealer for "gator blades". Once you try 'em you'll never go back

I sure went back, at least on the grasses around here. On the Ultra Cut even the super high lift type gators miss a lot of grass for me. The High lifts rarely ever miss a blade. So in my area on the Ultra Cut the high lifts work better, I can't speak of every place or situation. I know guys that love them but I've tried several models and same results for me. Great in the fall for leaves. Not trying to be smart, that's just my experience.
