Does anyone have recommendations on which fungicides should be avoided on newly, overseeded areas? My tall fescue seed has germinated and most of the seedlings are 1 - 2 inches tall. I have been very careful with irrigation, however I am still getting a little brown patch popping up (I have battled it all summer) on the established turf.

For instance - Daconil recommends that it should be applied only to established turf. Some of the DMI fungicides can restrict growth when the turf is under stressful conditions, etc.

    Thanks

Stick with water-based fungicides and you will be fine. I would suggest against using the curative rates, though. Eagle EW & Spectator Ultra (Banner Maxx) are broad-spectrum fungicides that are water-based and have less harmful side effects on turf.
