I am lookig at a customer's lawn, and the spots have the symptoms of both dollarspot and red thread. What do I call it?

Call it Red Thread/Dollar Spot Disease! It's very common to see both of them in a lawn at the same time. If the customer wants it treated with a Fungicide, use granular versions of Bayleton, Prophecy or T-Storm. All are labeled for both diseases.

We have seen the same thing in the last few weeks. Red Thread and Dollar spot together. Mother nature always keeps us on our toes. As Hissing said it's not unusual to see them at the same time. Sure can make a mess of a lawn.

They both like low-nitrogen conditions in lawns, so it's not all that surprising to see them both in the same lawn.
