Has anyone tried one of these trimmers? If so how did it perform!Engine type is GZ23N....23.6 cc/
We bought 3 last year and loved them...just picked up 2 of the 2600's last week as a matter of fact.
I have a Red Max BCZ2600S and I love it!!! It is very powerful and is very reliable!!! I went with the BCZ2600S because it was a difference of like $50 at my local dealer, so I figured I would get the extra power for those really tough jobs. I think you will be very pleased with a Red Max trimmer!!!
We sell about 10 2400's to every 1 2600. Unless you are using the trimmer on really thick stemed weeds and cat tails, the 2400 has plenty of power. It is a little more fuel effecient, and weighs just a little less than the 2600.
Both are great machines, you just have to decide which fits your needs best, as will as your budget.
What's the cost of the 2400 vs. 2600.
I paid $279 and $299 respectively I seem to remember.
I have that trimmer and we are very pleased with it. i don't want to start another discussion, but we also the redmax oil mix. it all works well together.
For $2O more go with the 2600 I got one today and it rocks! I'm sure the 2400 is great but you will always wonder if you sould have gotten the bigger unit, we did the same thing with the shindaiwa t230 loved it but wished we bought the t260.
Do you guys not get 2500's?
We're about 100 miles south of Mowingman and our numbers are completely the oposite. We sell 20..2600s to 1..2400. Our prices are $299 for the 2600s and $269 for the 2400s.
