Ya know...I was asking myself the same question when it happened. My only other option would be to take it back to the dealer who worked on it last year and loose the use of my blower for another month. No thanks! I think when this one gives it up I'll be looking at a Shindy since the dealer I take my Scag and Bunton to sells them. Plus, the Scag/Bunton dealer gives me much better service than the shop I take my blower and trimmer to.

I was just looking at the new EB8510RT 4-stroke blower. It has a 79.7cc displacement, 4.5 hp (3.3kW) @ 7,500 rpm. The output is 224 mph, and a 952 CFM (w/o tubes). Certainly something to consider.

You know, you should just stick with WHAT YOU KNOW & works well for you !! For you that's Shindaiwa !! Have you read the posts on the Stihl blowers? Some good ,some bad. You already know of my coil experience. Stihl's answer is "we let our warranty program take care of it" :nono:

Meanwhile the dealers want YOU to stll pay for the labor ( if your a big enough sucker). Spending time hassling over it was/is NOT worth the time. My advise> Buy back your ShinaMax !!

my 8000 is also acting up.. im getting these shocks when i hold onto the throttle (but that happens with most blowers i think) then all of a sudden it dies.. does this about 2 or 3 times then runs fine the rest of the time.. anyone no/ heard of this before?

Sounds like you have an exposed wire. It's probably around the on/off switch. Nothing a little time and electrical tape won't fix.

Took it to the shop today and it ran fine no problems at all it was only 74 here today and the past few days it was atleast 10 degrees more that is probably why it made a lier out of me im sure im not the only one that had this happen to them just like a damn car.
P.S. The Shinamax is gone and it had ZERO issues out of it i just wanted bigger and badder and i got it that is for sure
HEY ROB INTERESTED IN A REDMAX BLOWER HEHEHEHE !!
