Need to replace the gears on a Redmax BCZ2401S, stuck on #6 after removing snap ring. How do I get the bearing out? Does it come out with the shaft?

Yes the bearing comes out with the shaft (9) you will also have to remove the screw (18) as part of your teardown. I have a special puller I use to tear gear heads down but you can basically do the same thing by screwing a nut onto the threads (9) and clamp that into a vice then using a hard plastic hammer tap the case back, forcing the shaft and bearing out from the case. Good luck hope it helps....

All exterior screws removed and head removed from shaft. I tried the nut and hammer but doesn't seem to be budging. I'll get agear puller to see if that'll work.

Or Grab a good Deep dish Socket just larger than the gear spline and hammer it off, being careful of course, and use a piece of wood on the other end to avoid chipping..
