    1) what type grease is recommended for a gear box in a Redmax HE2500S stick edger?

    2) what amount does it need via the zerk/how do you know when it is full?

    thanks gang

A good lithium based greese should be all you need!

Hey Greasy, we bought one this year and I hate it! I've tried to use this thing three times and the job looked terrible. The unit is very heavy, compared to a trimmer and combersome.Might give it another try in the spring, it's the frist piece of Redmax I didn't like.

I found it hard to get the same result as with my old piece of junk Homerlite edger.

    But I'm getting better...

Since the "landing gear" is movable, I found the best results (new blade, still full length) were achieved by moving the wheel nearest the blade and making the wheel close to the driveshaft. (Lowest)
