i have all remax and had a very bad experience with the opti a 100 to1 in my new blower.so i said to hell with it i will go with redmax, but today i kept looking at two new 25 gallon mix bottles of opti and i hate to waste it.? is could i mix this at 50 to 1 like redmax oil or is that gonna wayyyyyyyyyy to rich.please no stupid replies for i dont want to cook another piece of equipment.please dont say 80 to 1 cause i think that is too lean too.thanks for help.

Opti-2 is causing alot of problems in the new hotter running, emission standard 2cycles..... it's petrolium based.

You're safer dumping it @ using a synthetic like Amsoil or a Synthetic mix like Echo's new Power Blend.

Why not mix the Opti at 50:1 like the Redmax requires?

you start mixing it rich you're losing all of the so called "benefits" of opti-2...cleaner ports etc....Lots of problems recently in the new Enviro-Nut Approved Engines w/opti-2...Just dump it.

    Stihl chainsaw
    7 Stihl trimmers/edgers
    Stihl hedge trimmers
    Redmax 7000
    Redmax 7001
    Redmax 8000

All with lots and lots of hours with only Opti 2 for 5 seasons. Never a single problem. I run it a little richer than 100 to 1, probably closer to 85. Plugs last forever, never clean ports anymore, no smoking, and buying in bulk I pay much less than other brands.

hoss,i trust your advice and i know you had great luck with it is why i tried it but something went wrong.when fareway talks about heat,he is right for i could tell my stuff run hotter on opti.now some have said the redmax oil is opti,if that is true i will just mix 50 to 1 and run it.but for my use i dont wont no more 100 to 1 opti 2.

Try Echo Power Blend...it's a Synthetic Mix designed for today's hotter running 2cycles...or Amsoil...

Just use RedMax oil. It's cheap and it works great in all 50:1, 2 cycle equipment. We sell it for $0.79 a bottle for 2.5 gal mix. Nobody sells it cheaper. $7 flat shipping!
