I am looking for a new backpack blower and have got it down to 2 models, the redmax EBZ8001 or the Shindaiwa EB802, both are 2 strokes bescause I hate the hybrid 4 stroke engines. The shindy has the biggest engine of any BP at 79.9cc, the redmax is 71.9cc (I think.) The shindy is $489. and the redmax is $529. Im leaning toward the shindaiwa becasue its cheaper and I saw a video on you tube of someone blowing a cinder block around with one!!! Both have 2 year warrantys, Whts everyones opinon on which I should buy? Thanks.

The cheaper one in this scenario imo...unless you like the fit of the Redmax better then that's worth paying extra for. But all else equal go with the Shin, good blower and cheaper. If the Redmax blower was cheaper I'd say get the Redmax...hardly any difference in performance in the bigest line of blowers, mainly comes down to fit/comfort/price. Best of luck and enjoy.

I live in Habersham Ga. The shidaiwa dealer hear is topnotch. Warranty issues are handled quickly. I don't know how their prices compare to other dealers in other areas. An eb630 is $450.00
