Would appreciate any recommendations on Reference Guides for lawn and ornamental pests. Have in mind something that can keep in truck and use when Iam on the property trying to determine what pests are present, or something to show clients when they are trying to explain a problem they are having....(the more pictures the better!)---Thanks

3 really good ones, very complete:
Turfgrass Insects of the United States and Canada
    Diseases of Trees and Shrubs
Insects that Feed on Trees and Shrubs

Let me know if you want any more details on these

The chemical companies often distribute easy to use and read
guides for description and care of diseases, weeds, insects, etc.

Syngenta: has a nice little booklet on turf diseases
    Basf: nice weed ID booklet
Dow: used to have a nice one for insect, weeds
