    PJ,

Long time reader, short time member. I've been shopping recently for the Mini Fastrak 36. The Honda on this model is an OHC vs OHV. The dealer told me there is a thin timing belt on the OHC. This belt has had a tendency to break resulting with internal problems. My question is, has the Honda 16 hp OHC been as reliable as Honda motors in the past?

We sell a lot of mowers with that engine on it, Mini FasTrak and FasTrak, and I don't hear anyone complaining about it.
Yes it is a OHC, there is nothing wrong with that, it works great and is a very smooth engine.

    Bailey,

Sorry for the delay, i just found your post.....

If the timeing belt should fail-I've not seen one yet, the piston will NOT contact the valve(s) causing serious damage.
